current discussion 1 Current discussion 1.1 administrative issues * It has been a long time since we all met and discussed current status and development aims on a broader basis. So probably it's time for another [workshop weekend] 1.1 node nets * there will be a new node type which is being specified: [chunk-development], [Chunks and Logic], [Cooperating Chunks] 1.1 agent * the visual perception system of the [simpleagent] is being completely redesigned, based on visual features of objects rather than the objects themselves 1.1 world development * The [world] subproject has obviously the most urgent needs for development. There's a number of reasons for that: 1. the [categorization] subproject urgently needs a more complex and 'better structured' world to be able to learn regularities 1. the [esthetics] subproject wants to create a bigger world, and a more beautiful one 1. the plans for creating a world that is constantly online and available via the web could become real in a not-too-distant future. 1. We need more cool-looking stuff. Things to make people go __"Woah, I wanna join da team!"__. At the moment, the world object model is being extended in order to support visual features needed by the simpleagent's new visual system.
